Accomplishments

Despite still being a young organization, FPN has already seen a number of significant accomplishments since its inception.

2008
- FPN is born as UCSD’s first finance mentorship program.
- FPN hosts a “Breaking into Investment Banking” webinar. Topics addressed include resume and interview preparation, industry culture, and various other topics.

2009
- FPN organizes its first Alumni/Undergraduate Mentorship class; about 25 mentor/mentee pairs are formed.
- FPN hosts its first FPN Alumni Panel at the Undergraduate Investment Society’s Financial Horizons Conference
- FPN forms an additional 20 mentor/mentee pairs during its second Mentorship class.
- The FPN Newsletter is born to help keep mentors informed of and involved in FPN’s happenings.
- FPN establishes a formal relationship with UCSD’s Alumni Association.

2010
- FPN hosts its second FPN Alumni Panel at UIS’s Financial Horizons Conference.
- The third Mentorship class sees an additional 20 mentor/mentee pairs being formed.
- FPN has a featured article in @UCSD alumni magazine.
- A new batch of leadership reorganizes FPN to encompass all aspects of a UCSD student’s career—from first learning about the industry to facilitating future career moves.

2011
- FPN brings RBC Capital Markets to UCSD for an Information Session and Recruiting
- FPN establishes a formal relationship with sister organizations FPN and SFIC
